Andrea Manrique

Andrea is originally from Mexico and moved to the US as a teenager. She is a paralegal and English/Spanish interpreter by day and a wine enthusiast by night. She became a Roots Fund scholar in May 2021 and obtained her WSET Level 2 Certification through her Roots Fund scholarship. The Roots Fund has provided her with the opportunity to put into practice what she's learning by working trade tastings and specialized dinners. Andrea provides bilingual guided tastings in the Austin area with the hopes to help her community feel comfortable as they scout the wine aisles and learn to confidently choose their wine. The Roots Fund has provided her with some of the best networking opportunities. She's thrilled to see where this wine journey will take her as part of the Roots Fund family.
